Quotes

Michael Mantha, MPP for Algoma-Manitoulin
“As an experienced community advocate and leader, Michele is an awesome addition to the team of New Democrat candidates in Northern Ontario, and I know she’s going to be a fantastic MPP, who can really champion the unique needs of our region. With Andrea Horwath leading the way, our NDP government will finally invest in access to broadband, improve winter road maintenance, and champion the creation of good jobs in our communities – the kinds of jobs you can raise a family on. We’ll implement our plans to fix long-term care and home care – giving every Sault family the help they need to age at home, find a high-quality long-term care bed right in their own community when they’re ready, and maintain a great quality of life as they age.”

Michele McCleave-Kennedy, NDP candidate for Sault Ste. Marie
“I’m passionate about making sure our kids and grandkids have good job opportunities right here in Sault Ste. Marie — I think of my own grandkids, one at Algoma University and one in Grade 8. As an advocate, community activist, and small business owner, I know how important investing in health care, education, and economic recovery after the pandemic will be to building a great future for our community. Andrea Horwath’s New Democrats are the only party with a plan to give local families more help and hope, and make sure Northern Ontario gets its fair share, and I’m delighted to be part of the team fighting for better health care, better seniors care, and more homes people can afford.”
